About Taina

QUERENCIAS : this spanish word makes reference to those people, animals and places one loves and tends to return to them again and again.It is not easy to tranlate it but there is a word in english that has a similar meaning :"Affections".

My mother was born in Karelia (Finland), my father was spanish , they met in England and decided to live in Spain. I was born in Madrid but my "affections" are many. There is a special place for me which is Greece.The following quotation from Lawrence Durrell is specially true for me : " Other countries may offer ypu discoveries in manners of lore or landscape .Greece offers you something harder, the discovery of yourself."
I go to Greece two to four times a year , I have friends there, I am learning greek and that's why most of my pictures are from there.
